Greg Safel in "Not A Fairytale"

Greg Safel

Greg Safel is an accomplished actor and recording artist, and Not A Fairytale is his first adventure in filmmaking. He began his career while still in school as a theatre major at the University of Missouri, Kansas City, spending an equal amount of time training at the UMKC Conservatory of Music. He moved to New York to continue studying acting and work in musical theatre, performing in summer stock and touring with such legends as Debbie Reynolds and Eddy Arnold.

He then turned his focus toward film and television work, moving to Los Angeles and performing in the long-running hit musical Nite Club Confidential with Scott Bakula. He has worked steadily ever since in film, television, and theatre as a triple threat (actor/singer/dancer) in a variety of genres. One of his favorite roles was Canta in the film Not Forgotten with Simon Baker. His latest album Visible , in which he sings his own interpretations of Broadway, pop and standard songs, received rave reviews and earned him an opening spot for Donna McKechnie at the Catalina Jazz Club.

Between acting projects, Greg sings with the Los Angeles-based rock band Swami Lushbeard, and is currently at work on his next album.
